Eton Manor travelled to newly promoted Rochford knowing that they had to follow up their win against Colchester with a positive result if they were to move up the table.

London1 North Rochford vs Eton Manor 3rd Dec 2011

The game kicked off, immediatelty Manor dominated possesion and it was not long before Morrison Tavana cheekily passed to John Robinson near the line to give the number 8 an easy stroll for the first try (unconverted). Manor continued to press and enjoyed a huge advantage in the scrum as the home team were driven back at every opportunity.

With ten minutes gone Reece Reed scored his first points with a fine try (unconverted). The home side fought to get into the game and upped their workrate to push Manor into their own half for a sustained period. With Rochford on the attack Manor responded brilliantly by constantly looking dangerous with their hands on ball.

With fifteen minutes of the half to play John Robinson drove over for his second try (unconverted) and Huw Levis crossed the line after some clever work from Tavana and Callum McKie.

Manor stupidly took their foot of the gas after securing the four try bonus point and let Rochford in for a late converted try

The second half started with Rochford clearly pumped up and they scored their second try early (unconverted) to fray the Manor nerves. After dominating the majority of the match Manor had lost the momentum and given the home team hope.

Manor looked to their pack to calm things and regain the advantage. A series of lineouts and scrums meant they regained the stranglehold and Callum McKie scored the fifth try with twenty five minutes to play (converted C. McKie). A further penalty by Callum McKie extended the lead further as the game entered it's final quarter.

Manor continued to dominate possesion as Rochford looked for a losing bonus point but Reece Reed controlled a clever kick through to socre his second try (unconverted).

Manor had dominated the game for almost the whole eighty minutes but had still let Rochford expose some frailties that will have to be worked on before league leaders Thurrock visit this weekend.
