Eton Manor 1928's host Southend 2XV this Saturday in a joint arranged fixture due to both clubs league opposition failing to produce teams. Yet again this season has seen several Essex Merit Division one League clubs fail to produce teams to play in the highest Essex Merit league we can play in.

Perhaps its about time our ruling CB body, Essex Rugby Union addressed the issue and allow Eton Manors 2XV (1928s) access into the main RFU leagues to play against Essex Counties 1XV sides.

We take this opportunity to thank Southend RFC for coming to us and we look forward to another well contested fixture by our two clubs.
